Learn Lushootseed with the Tulalip Tribes

The Tulalip Tribes Lushootseed language department is now offer Lushootseed 101 classes through Northwest Indian College. The classes, starting on September 16th, will be held at the Tulalip Tribes Administration Building in room 263 from 3:30-4:20 Monday-Friday.

College students, adults and high school students are encouraged to sign up.

Lushootseed is a member of the Salish language family, whose approximately twenty surviving languages are spoken from northern Oregon to central British Columbia, and from the Pacific coast eastward into Montana and along the British Columbia-Alberta border.
