On February 21, 2014 the New School hosted the Indigenous New Media Symposium. The Indigenous New Media Symposium sought to bring together Native American and First Nation media makers and creative activists to discuss how new media platforms are being used in the indigenous community to educate, organize, entertain, and advocate.

Speakers included Last Real Indians Founder Chase Iron Eyes, Adrienne Keene, Jessica Metcalfe, Jarrett Martineau and Clayton Thomas- Muller.
