The Urban Native Education Alliance Brings Native Language Learning to Seattle

The Urban Native Education Alliance is bringing together Native language teachers for a month long series on teaching different Native languages to Native youth in the Seattle area.

Youth, and community members, will have the opportunity to learn Lakota, Tlingit, Ojibwe, Lushootseed and Apache from language teachers in this unique, and free, twice a week series throughout the month of October.

Youth will learn basic greetings, introductions, everyday conversation and the cultural significance of tribal languages.
