30 Arrested in Iowa Protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline

On October 1st, 2016, over 200 Iowans held a non-violent direct action against the Dakota Access pipeline. 30 people were arrested after entering the construction site.

The action targeted the final leg of the Dakota Access pipeline that has yet to be finished in Iowa. Watch videos of the action by Mississippi Stand.

Mississippi Stand is a group of concerned citizens who are working to keep oil out of the Mississippi River. They stand in solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux & the Tribal Nations defending water.
